Worth Dying For – Part 4: Barrel Bibles
Mt. Hood Auditorium – Holden Convention Center
Pastor Dick Duerksen’s early morning worships will bring four of the Reformation Martyrs to life. Each presentation will focus on the life and ministry of a martyr. You will learn about the person, their calling, family, beliefs, and the conflicts that resulted in their martyrdom. Additionally, you will be challenged to compare the martyr’s life with your own and consider your personal convictions and the costs of “living as Christ lived.”

Sola Deo Gloria
God alone is glorified in our salvation, because it is wholly His achievement for us in Christ and in us through Christ. All systems of salvation by works are necessarily false and powerless for the simple reason that they retain self as the center of one’s reliance and therefore rule out love as the connecting motive between the human being and God. When we know and believe that our salvation is the work of Christ alone, all sense of condemnation and insecurity before God subsides, love springs forth in our hearts, and God alone is glorified in our lives.
